Paula Jourdain, MSW, MBA
President, Specialty Health Consulting, President, Specialty Care
Paula has overseen the expansion of Specialty Care, including the development and lease-up of nine new Specialty Care residences and management of other non-profit and for profit long term care and retirement residences. Paula is an exemplary leader in long term care and, has extensive experience in long term care facility management, facility development, working with partners and boards, government relations and financial management. Paula has served as President of both the Ontario Residential Care Association and Ontario Long Term Care Association and was a member of the Ministry of Health's Capital design and funding committee, responsible for the new design standards in long term care facilities. Paula is currently Vice President, Board of Directors of the Ontario Long Term Care Association. She also has experience in senior positions in community non profit social services and senior levels of the Ontario government.

Lois Cormack, MHSc, CHE, RN
VP, Consulting & Professional Services Lois has extensive senior management and consulting experience in all health care sectors and Ministry of Health. Lois leads a team of consultants and associates, providing professional and management services to organizations. Lois has managed numerous successful projects including the common assessment project for CCACs, clinical services that improved resource utilization, clinical information systems implementation, new long term care openings, performance measurement systems. Lois has led numerous successful proposals and program implementations, reports and position papers resulting in efficiencies and increased organizational capacity. Lois is on a research team with the University of Waterloo, conducting research to enhance use of RAI assessment instruments in long term care, mental health and primary care, is an active member of the Canadian College of Health Service Executives and a member of COACH.

Debbie Doherty, BScN
Vice President, Operations
Debbie brings extensive experience in both the long term care and retirement sectors. Debbie has held numerous leadership positions in retirement homes and long term care facilities including Administrator, Nurse Consultant, Director of Operations and Vice-President Operations. Debbie worked with Lifestyle Retirement Communities for 12 years and was responsible for the development of efficient operational standards and service concepts, resulting in high levels of staff and resident satisfaction, increased occupancy and significant savings to the bottom line. Debbie served as President of ORCA from 2000 to 2003 and chaired the Standards Committee for the Ontario Residential Care Association for five years and was instrumental in the creation of the existing accreditation program and its endorsement by the Government of Ontario. Debbie holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing / Administration and subsequently completed Long Term Care Organization Management through the University of Ottawa.

Nana Rosenberger, BSc
Director of Communications
Nana brings over 20 years experience in long term care through varied roles in administration, human resources, quality management, case management and staff development and marketing . With a background in gerontology, health promotion and social work, she has extensive experience in innovative non-profit community development across all age groups and organizations including advocacy program development, staff education and health promotion and planning with the Regional government and community agencies in York Region Nana has expertise in developing effective marketing plans, staff development programs, operational reviews, customer service programs and quality management.

Ray Jourdain
Executive Vice President of Building Development
Ray is responsible for all Specialty Care construction and development activities as well as on going property management of the existing Residences. In addition to developing new properties on budget and on schedule, Ray has introduced state of the art safety, security and communication systems as well as energy management systems. Ray has over 10 years of extensive building and development, property management and operational maintenance experience with two of the leading residential and commercial development companies in Toronto.

Fern has developed highly sophisticated budgeting, envelope variance analysis and financial benchmarking systems. Fern also has experience with a range of corporate, multi-site and individual facility financial systems.

Ann has been the senior designer on numerous projects for both new and renovated projects in the profit and non-profit sectors. Ann combines a health care background with formal design education and successfully integrates design concepts that are comfortable, home-like, and efficient while promoting safety, wellness and independence for residents.

Michele Bell, BA
Director of Human Resources
Michele has 13 years at a senior management level in the human services field in
both the non-profit and private sector. Michele provides a full range of
human resource consulting services in the areas of: labour relations,
recruitment retention and recognition, employee development, organizational
design, occupational health and safety, and benefits management. She has
extensive experience in change management in a unionized environment.
Michele has a BA from the University of Waterloo and has completed the
Advanced Program in Human Resource Management from the Rotman School of
Management

Wellness Consultant, Specialty Care
Kelly brings a strong background in Wellness Management, Gerontology; Respiratory Therapy and Health Care Management, . Kelly specializes in wellness programming for older adults and care providers and has developed a wellness model and strategies for long-term care centres
that promotes wellness and healthy lifestyle choices for residents, staff,
families and the local community. Successful strategies that incorporate
wellness into care delivery include Restorative Care, use of third party
Wellness Services, Wellness Committees, and Employee Wellness initiatives. Under
Kelly's leadership, programming has been significantly enriched in residences
through the integration of a wellness philosophy; benefiting staff, residents and families.
